BIKERS ONLY -SCOOTERFREE ZONE- Rollerfreie Zone

Be it for chilling lazyness or "Hey Mom little pussyboy doesn´t wanna get wet feet from riding a real bike and mess up my hairstyle " or whatever makes those stylish scooter poppers choose to ride a stinking Chinese twostroke noisemaker . We felt the need to declare the Ride-of-Change-Blog and Homepage a Scooterfree Zone reservation for real bikers - just to let you know, scooterboys :

"Don´t you ride no pony , when men ride horses ."

See what you get from real bikes ....legends never die - as they don´t ride scooters :-)

Nachdem sich wohl immer mehr Bequemlichkeit und "Mama, ich will aber keine nassen Füssen kriegende stränchenblondierte Seitenscheitelfahrer " a la Daniel Schumacher mit stinkenden, chinesischen 2-takt-Dängderrräng-däng-dängs Strassen und Bikerparkplätze blockieren , wollen wir an dieser Stelle ein Biker-Reservat einrichten und wenigstens einen letzten geschützten Raum für die Biker dieser Welt einrichten und den Ride-of-Change zur Rollerfreien Zone erklären....

Hey Scooterboy ! Reite kein Pony, wenn Du ein Pferd reiten kannst ...:-)

If any of those songs, that hit a man´s heart and soul in your lifetime has to line up to the Wind-of-Change-Story - guess it´s gotta be Lynyrd Skynyrds hymn to mens freedom :

Call me macho so - this is a man´s song , ladies !
It was one of my personal dreams to see these incredible band performing live on the Ride-of-Change in 2008 - travelling through Skynyrd Country in the southern states - well then - had to miss them out , as they were not touring but busy settin up their "God and Guns" album by the time .
How much better did this feel last night - travelling 500 ks to see these guys next to my hometown - with a wild crowd rocking the roof off ...Legends never die !!
Travellin´man - that´s what I am...

So before this end up to turn into a music blog - I promise this to be the final one on bands and concerts

Es gibt diese Songs im Leben eines Mannes , die direkt ins Herz, in den Bauch, in die Seele zielen. Und wenn es diesen einen Song neben Wind-of-Change geben darf- dann is es Lynyrd Skynyrds Homage an die Freiheit selbst :

Und sorry Ladies - auf die Gefahr hin, hier als Macho verschrien zu werden ( es gibt schlimmeres ;-) - es ist die Freiheit eines Mannes...
Es war ein Traum , Lynyrd Skynyrd im Süden der Staaten auf dem Ride-of.Change-2008 zu erleben - leider haben sie in 2008 nicht getourt, sondern mit den Aufnahmen für ihr neues "God and Guns " Album begonnen.
Wie crazy war also die Idee, 500 km gestern abend zum Auftritt der Band nach Karlsruhe zu fahren - wo die "Skynyrd Nation" die Halle beben ließ ...

This is sad news - Traurige Nachrichten -Scorpions Farewell Tour 2010

Auf die Gefahr hin , daß ihr glaubt , die Sentimentalität geht mit uns durch - aber von meinen 45 Jahren waren 30 sehr gute auch Jahre mit der Musik der Scorpions . Von den frühen Konzerten der 70er über die Panamericana bis zum Ride-of-Change-2008.
Die Scorpions gehören zu einem Biker wie die Kette aufs Ritzel.
Wer sie noch nicht gesehen hat . wird jetzt vielleicht die letzte Chance haben, eine der besten Rockbands der Welt live auf der Bühne zu erleben - Verpaßt es nicht , wenn Ihr Biker seid !
Danke an die Scorpions für 40 Jahre unglaubliche Musik und Hut ab vor Eurer Entscheidung !

May this sound a bit sad and sentimental- who cares. The Scorpions are anoouncing their very final Farewell-Tour. After 40 years of bandlife they agreed to have reached the end of the road .
From my 45 years so far some great 30 years the Scorpions went along with me . From the early 70s concerta to Panamericana and all along the Ride-Of-Change-2008.
Like a chain on the sprocket the Scorpions have made their way into many bikers hearts . Maybe it´s your final chance to see one of the greatest rockbands ever - don´t miss them on their worldwide final tour ! Thank you guys for such wonderful music and I take my hat off to your decision !

Ride-of-Change- goes Sonja and Alois !

Ein fantastisches Wochenende auf Sonjas und Allas Bauernhof in Petting am Waginger See - kann es einen besseren Platz geben, um mit ebenso fantastischen Bikern zu feiern ? Wohl kaum, und wenn dann noch Typen wie Harry und Michel dazukommen, wird der Kreis wieder ein wenig größer- und so einfach kann es wohl nur unter Bikern zugehen.

What a great place to be - Sonjas and Alois farm in Petting next to the Waging Lake was the perfect place to be - and meet some wonderful and great bikers again - and new fellows as Harry and Michel - fitting in as only bikers can.

Archie und Barney , unsere Q-Rider-Freunde haben einige Momente dieses Wochenendes auf ihrer sehr schönen homepage festgehalten - neben vielen anderen spannnenden Momenten ihres Bikerlebens - sehr lesenswerte Seite !

Auch wenn der Kreis aus vielen Gründen diesmal etwas kleiner war, so haben wir doch alle in Gedanken durch die Bayerischen und österreichischen Alpen mit dabei gehabt. In herrlicher Herbstsonne Richtung Wilder Kaiser, jede Menge Benzin quatschen und die neuesten Reisestories von Archies Trip nach Kirgisistan , gegen den Petras und meine 4000 Alpenkilometer ins Languedoc und zurück der letzten 14 Tage ( nach bestandener Zwischenprüfung meines Fernstudiums waren die Kurven nochmal so schön ) fast wie ein kleiner Wochenedausflug erscheinen.
Though for many reasons many of you could not male their way this time - we had you with us touring the Alpes around Austria - enjoying late summer sun, a lot of new bikers stories ( including Archie just having returned from Kirgisitan - read more here : http://www.q-rider.de/2009/html/kirgisistan.html ) and Petras and my experiences along the 4000 km holidaytour through Swiss, French Italian and Austrian Alps. .

Wie weit man auf dieser wunderbaren und oft spektakulären Welt auch gereist sein mag - die Alpen sind ein Schatzkästlein der Natur . Und immer wieder staunen wir über die unendliche Schönheit und Größe dieser Berge - wie zuletzt in der Schlucht von Daluis im Vars-Tal.
You may travel as far as you can - the Alps will always show you new and spectacular sceneries - some of them amongst the most beautiful in this world - one of them the " Gorge de Daluis " south of the Col de Vars in the Vars-Valley.

Irgendwie werde ich das Gefühl nicht los, daß die tapfere kleine GS auf dieser Tour deutlich mehr Kurven erlebt hat , als auf ihren 50000 km rund um die Welt zuvor :-)
And good enough the little 650 Gs has made its way just as brave through the alps as it did around the world before ...adding more curves on this trip than around the world before...

Und dann wär da ja noch BABAs neuer Lebensretter - ich habe meinen neuen HELD Takato das erstemal auf großer Tour gefahren - genau das gleiche Modell, das mir mein Leben in Vladivostok gerettet hat , als ein 20 cm Baumstamm im Sturm bei 90 km/h testen wollte, wer von uns beiden der größere Dickkopf ist. Ich habe diesen Crash ohne jede Folgen überlebt. Sollte ich da noch irgendeinem anderen Helm vertrauen ? :-)

And last but not least - BABA has a new livesaver - got my new HELD Helmet Takato - the same model that saved my life , when a tree crashed on my head in Vladivostok about one year ago - could I trust any other helmet though ? :-)
